Park days are the central activity in our homeschooling group and you'll hear us talking about how wonderful Tuesday afternoons are around here. Jay and his friend, Julie, are taking over our group website and have been taking a lot of pictures to put on it. I thought I'd share some of their pictures.

A lot of digging in the sand occurs at park days (that's Michael in the back on the left). Sometimes, the whole group of them will construct a civilization in the sand, including even a state religion (usually Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster).*

The latest craze at the park days is playing a card game called Magic. Even Annie is very into it. I actually have no idea how it's played.

The kids spent one day trying to get great pictures of people jumping off swings. This is Jay's flying picture.

There are certainly very real hazards to handing teenagers a camera and not giving them parameters. All of the teens, but especially Jay and Sam, thought this photo was hilarious.
* I actually think this first photo was taken by my friend, and professional photographer,
Sarah Pedersen Jackson. Check out her blog!

Both of my boys played Magic and loved it. I never understood it, either. Doc attempted to learn it so that he could play with them, but he said the cards keep changing!
