Jay's comic strip

Jay's assignment in Latin class yesterday was to take a dialogue from the book and make it into a six panel comic strip. We found a great website called toondoo where he could make it look pretty professional.

The first panel says "Libanus, come here!" The second says "Hello, master." "Where is my new book?" The third says "Don't ask me, ask your son." "Where is the boy with my book?"

The fourth says, "Come here, Cornelia. Look, a new book!" Cornelia says "Oooooo!" Dad calls, "Come here, Sextus." The fifth panel says, "Is my book in your room?" The sixth panel says "Look, the book is on your table." and then someone is laughing.

Jay's teacher really liked the comic strip. She called it "cute."

I'm sure it loses something in the translation. It's probably funnier in Latin.

Seriously, Jay, it is a cute strip.

It's not really supposed to be funny, I think. It's still pretty rudimentary Latin. I thought just thought he did a nice job!
